Cape Town, South Africa, May 20, 2025 – At Enlit Africa 2025, Africa’s leading energy exhibition, Tianjin Tiankai Electric Equipment Complete Set Co., Ltd. and Eskom held a technical workshop focusing on renewable energy microgrid solutions. The two parties discussed core new technologies including off-grid microgrid clusters, integrated solar-storage-charging systems, and AI-driven energy management platforms, and ultimately signed a cooperation agreement for a pilot rural microgrid project in the Eastern Cape Province. This cooperation aligns with South Africa’s national goals of achieving 40% renewable energy by 2030 and 15% microgrid coverage by 2025.

Tiankai’s microgrids are not just a power solution, but also key to energy democracy in Africa, said Mr. Qian, CEO of Tiankai, at the “Africa Just Energy Transition Summit.” “We are responding to South Africa’s Distributed Energy Development Action Plan through technology sharing and localized innovation.” Cape Town, South Africa, May 20, 2025 – At Enlit Africa 2025, Africa’s leading energy exhibition, Tianjin Tiankai Electrical Equipment Co., Ltd. and Eskom held a technical workshop focusing on renewable energy microgrid solutions.
